The Song of the Lake
We marched for days through wet earth and crooked pines.
I have walked many roads with these warriors, and seen more than I could ever put into song.
These are the tales of what we faced together battles, journeys, victories, and losses.
Not the stories of one man, but of a group bound together by the shieldwall.
Some I witnessed, some were told around the fire, and all have become part of our tale.
So sit close, and let me tell you what happened.
